Home > Sermon > The Year of Grace and Supplication – Yearly Theme of 2016

It feels like yesterday that God brought all of us together here to start a great work that He has set. 4 October 2015 marked our 2nd year as a God Beloved Church. A lot of things have happened and one thing will always remain true – HE is a good and faithful God!

For the year 2016, our church theme is “The Year of Grace and Supplication”. This theme is taken from Zech 12:10.

Zechariah 12:10 (KJV)

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Let this year’s theme be a reminder for all of us that it is now the time for us as “House of David”, the Beloveds, to come with a bold spirit to enjoy His grace and make supplications (make a request) to God. Year 2016 is the time for us to ask what has been the desire of our heart. If that Godly desire is there, it means that God has put it there, and it is our part to believe God for it.

It might be your desire to grow your business, traveling, go for a missionary trip, or whatever it is, as long as it is a good desire, you should GO for it. Believe in God’s grace and favor to grant the desire of your heart.
